With a background in classical guitar making, and as a player myself, I’ve always wanted to add this style of instrument to our lineup. Growing up in Argentina, the nylon-string guitar, or Guitarra Criolla, is something nearly every household has. It’s the first instrument many kids learn on, and it’s used not only for classical music but for folk, rock, and just about any style. For me, it was important to offer a guitar that encourages players and songwriters to explore that sweet, warm, and uniquely expressive character that only nylon strings can bring to a composition.
Below you’ll find photos from the build process of two of our nylon-string crossover guitars—one crafted as a custom commission and the other currently being finished. Listen to the recordings below to experience the guitar’s tone come to life. - AGM
