Western Double Top 16" Hollowbody
Inspired by the classical guitars we’ve been making for the Hill Guitar Co, this model features a double top design, and a “mostly hollow” body. We use an old growth redwood center block, only making contact with the top from the neck joint to underneath the bridge. The arched back is braced and free floating. This model has a unique bass response and endless sustain.
-Arched-Doubletop design featuring a predominantly negative space spruce core with laminated floating back & sides made from combinations of our supply of Western Maple, Englemann Spruce, Myrtle, Red Cedar, Black Walnut, Monterey Cypress, Black Acacia, and Sycamore.
-Hand carved neck made from locally sourced California Bay Laurel, Black Acacia, or Tillamook Myrtle from the Oregon Coast.
-Bound Ebony or Rosewood fingerboard
-Wood bindings and dyed veneer purflings
